Good morning life
Today, I greet you with a set of open arms
with the light of a new day comes
a new frame of mind
for once I am at peace with myself
and able to cope

I now accept my flaws as differences
rather than faults
I surrendered my pain to the Lord
and he promised to provide
as I twist the knob to the world
I can now face it with hope

I hop you understand that it is my best
interest that I take control of you
I've hidden behind misery's cloud as I
watched her rain on many of my parades
life passes by too quickly for me not
to see that which truly makes me happy

I hope you understand that I can
no longer blame you for letting me down
now, I make my own destiny as it was
always truly meant to be
I am now strong enough to control
you rather than letting you control me
